There’s so much to do at the Lee County Fair! Activities include live music, shopping, local art & food contests, carnival and antique carousel open for the kids. Friday is Senior Citizens Day and Saturday includes an Armed Forces Day Ceremony and Parade. At the Charcoal Challenge BBQ Cookoff, teams from all over Central Texas compete with a variety of foods, drinks and BBQ.<\/p>\n

Word Wranglers use words to convey ideas, stories, portray people and\u00a0places. \u00a0We want to honor our Word Wranglers for their hard work and dedication to their craft. \u00a0We also want to give\u00a0our community an opportunity to meet these authors and learn about the writing craft.<\/p>\nThe authors we invite to participate in our Festival have written books on children’s stories, the art of quilting,\u00a0archaeology, poetry, Texas cookbooks, bird watching, fiction, history, historical fiction, mystery, romance, music,\u00a0Texas Gardening, and anything related to Texas. We have a day-long festival at the Giddings Public Library &\u00a0Cultural Center where authors sell their books and take questions. Some authors read or talk to groups of students\u00a0that come in to the library.\n
